Suspensions and Levitations are among the most visual of the magic one can perform and Mystic Ice does both. A sort of Ice-Cubio, the standard Obedient Ball or Cube has been deconstructed entirely and now allows the same effect to take place with a crystal clear cube inches from the spectator!  The acrylic cube imitates an ice cube exactly and at first glance the spectators are convinced it is an actual ice cube (feel free to play that one up). The ice cube will suspend itself in position without cover and with no visible means of support and can actually be threaded on the lace by a spectator. Everything is completely examinable at the end. Not only will the cube "freeze" itself in multiple spots along the lace but it will also plummet down the lace on its own.  All this takes place without the use of threads, magnets, mirrors, livestock, block and tackle, super glue, staples.....OK, I'll stop now.  Did I mention that this takes place while the spectator holds one end of the lace? That's right. While the cube is suspended it is held by the spectator in his own hand!

The lace is used next, and a knot tied in the lace vanishes. This is performed as a transition to, Ice-Kord. For the first time ever, in a crystal clear closeup version, this most visual penetration is performed using an ice cube and a lace. The cube is bound, not once but twice, on the lace and since both ends are held tightly by one or two spectators, the cube is now immovable. There has never been a more imposing threading than this one and is made all the more convincing because the cube is completely transparent. First the ice cube is slid to one end of the lace and then to the other, then in a very visual manner it melts through the lace altogether. I have performed this many times and Ice-Kord always leaves them with their mouths wide open and speechless.
