GORDIEN'S MYSTIC CLOCK

I have not found this advertised in any of my older catalogs but this was a very early divination clock style effect. Many later versions operated with luminous dials or discovery through a mechanical means, not so with this one. Shaped like a compact the dial was handed to a spectator who chose a time by turning the hand. The lid was closed and the performer divined the correct time. There are no peeks inside the compact involved and nothing on the exterior of the compact gives a clue to the time. The Gordien's clock is c1920s
