DELAND FADEAWAY CARD

This is the earliest version of the Sanada gimmick as a playing card. Generally it was used to change or vanish a playing card but by using it similarly to the Sanada gimmick small objects could also be produced or vanished although this last application was not part of Deland's instructions. This is a rare item as it vanished from the catalogs rather quickly and according to Walter Gibson (and I agree completely) was one of Deland most under-appreciated gimmicks.
