ERNST BASCH MT029

This is the oldest token I have owned dating back to the middle of the 19th century and attributed to one of a family of European performers and magic dealers. The coin is a promotional coin for Ernst Basch and is approximately the size of a quarter. This is a copper coin and is roughly the size of a quarter and was drilled at the top as many were for use either as a medallion or as a coin trick. This Basch coin is MT029 in Kuethe's guide.
